Student Volunteer Program

The UNC Health Johnston Student Volunteer Program is a competitive 8-week long volunteer opportunity for students looking to give back to their community while developing excellent work habits in Smithfield and Clayton.

We are so thankful for the widespread interest in our program; however, we can only offer a limited number of positions. (This is not a first come, first serve application process. All applications will be reviewed individually).

The Student Volunteer Program is a service opportunity, not an internship or shadow experience. Volunteer tasks include answering call bells, wayfinding, clerical work, stocking, and other supportive duties.

Applications are now closed.

If you have any questions about the Student Volunteer program or your application, please contact Volunteer Services at loren.dean@unchealth.unc.edu or (919)938-7392

Any questions?

Applicants, please contact Volunteer Services at loren.dean@unchealth.unc.edu or (919)938-7392 for more information. We ask that applicants and not guardians contact the department as this is their volunteer opportunity.
